What are the hours of the school day?

The school day begins at 8:30 am. Early drop-off at 8.00 am is available (registration for this service is required). Pre-1 classes and Pre-2 classes meet from 8.30 am – 1.00 pm. Kindergarten hours are 8.30 am – 2.00 pm.

Does EcoKids provide meals?

EcoKids provides a wholesome, organic mid-morning snack to all children. The Kindergarten program offers a hot lunch.

Does EcoKids provide transportation?

The Preschool does not provide transportation. Some families arrange carpools and the office can provide lists of families in the same neighborhoods. The Kindergarten offers a bus service.

What is your average class size?

Preschool classes (Pre1 and Pre2) range from 12-16 children, respectively, with 2 main teachers. Kindergarten classes range from 18-20 children, with 2 main teachers and an assistant.

What are the predominant spoken languages at EcoKids?

English and Arabic, although the predominantly spoken language among the children is English. All communication methods (email, blog, class app, social media, reports, etc.) with parents is in English.

What training have your teachers received?

All our lead teachers have bachelor’s degrees or equivalents. All teachers take annual continuing education courses and many attend international workshops in Reggio Emilia and Waldorf education in Italy and the U.S.

What is EcoKids Diapering Policy?

Children enrolled in Pre2 and Kindergarten classes are expected to be diaper free. Our teachers will assist parents of Pre1 children in the first term of enrolment with toilet training – although Pre1 children are expected to be diaper-free by the second term of school.

How do I apply to EcoKids Preschool & Kindergarten?

You can print an application from our website or call our office to receive a hard copy. Once we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule a meeting and a visit.

Is there a deadline for applying?

Applications are accepted in the fall of the year prior to entry. The deadline to apply is March 15 for first-consideration acceptances.

Is there financial aid?

EcoKids offers tuition assistance on a limited basis. Please call the school office, for more information and an application.

How do I schedule a visit?

Please call the school office to make an appointment to take a school tours. All tours begin in October and are held on Mondays and Wednesdays.

May I bring my child to visit your school?

Children are welcome to join parents on the school tour.

Where do children go after EcoKids?

EcoKids children successfully transition into a wide variety of private schools.
